The Leprechaun The leprechaun was right behind me. I saw a way out of the meadow into the dark woods. I sprung myself into the air as I yelled, "Help! A leprechaun is after my money." I felt as if after this chase I would be broke. I landed on the ground with the leprechaun under my feet. My heart stopped with fear it would blow up. Then the leprechaun jumped up on a flying rainbow pot-of-gold. I crouched. The leprechaun hit a tree. "Ahh," I screamed. "The leprechaun's head." The leprechaun's head sunk in the sinking sand. I started running again. I ran straight up a tree and down it. There were many trees. The leprechaun closed the trees together. I was stuck in the woods. The leprechaun appeared. I grabbed onto him. ***** The leprechaun was right behind me. The leprechaun jumped into the air and grabbed my shoe. *Help!* I screamed in my head, but instead of saying help, I said, "Cliff ahoy. Cliff coming near." The leprechaun jumped. He went flying off the cliff. The leprechaun grabbed onto a rock and climbed up. *I feel bad*, I thought. I thought I stepped on his cat. I ran so fast I ran up a tree and down it. But then the leprechaun said, "Give me my precious gold." I stopped running. I realized I had a - I looked in my pocket - a huge pot-of-gold. I started running again. The leprechaun climbed a tree. I hid behind the tree. The leprechaun looked around but could not find me. I ran out from under the tree. The leprechaun jumped. I saw everything that the leprechaun did. Then the leprechaun forgot he was in a tree, ran toward me, and he fell. I had escaped from the meadow, and I got out with a pot-of-gold in my pocket. I must be the only person who has gold right now. I'll never go back into the meadow to see that leprechaun again. But I might go back to get more gold. The next thing I'm going to do is count my gold. I will spend my gold on my favorite thing, video games.
